Grandview (Mo.) High School
The Grandview Bulldogs enjoyed their best season in school history with Shawn Long at quarterback. The senior passed for 1,779 yards and 10 TDs, while rushing for eight more scores.
Those efforts helped lead the Bulldogs to an 11-2 record and the school’s only appearance in the State Semifinals. He also garnered all-conference, all-district, all-metro and all-State honors.
He went on to sign with Indiana State University.
Shawn still works in sports, serving as Sales Manager for Sports and Special Projects at KCTV5 and MyKSMO TV in Kansas City, where he oversees the Chiefs Television Network and KU/NCAA basketball platforms. He also serves on the Simone-Fontana Foundation.
